a must visit in Calbria

Pizzo is an old pittoresque city. Nice for strolling and eating Tartufo. Narrow streets, nice houses in a typical southern atmosphere.

Pizzo is an overwhelming place for those of you interested in natural beaty delicious food and historical heritage. It's a must-see in your tour in Southern Italy.

We just came back from a lovely stay in Pizzo Calabria. We had never heard of this place before we found a place to stay here, Pizzo House, rented through Trip Advisor. The town is not hard to navigate after a first time run through. We were staying outside of the hustle and bustle, but were able to easily drive... More

A lovely little cliff-top town, rather faded and shabby, like much in Calabria. Nice central piazza which is pretty much vehicle-free and has the usual types of restaurants and cafes along either side. Nice little side streets laid out in a pretty haphazard format across the hillside. The Castello is worth a visit and has nice views over the beach.... More

This place is stunning! It's on a high clifftop overlooking the sea with amazing views 360 degrees. Very quite and relaxing place with narrow streets and the main piazza is very beautiful! Sea was very clear and inviting. Very worth a visit!! When there, make sure you taste the tartufo ice cream, the specialty of the place, its delicious!!

Exploring Pizzo and its narrow streets walking from the main 'piazza' to the top of the hamlet brings you back to its past. Quintessentially Italian!

A Mediterranean country urban labyrinth wherein gastronomy and ship models catch the senses. Picturesques are the glimpses of the sea.

Stunning position high on a clifftop overlooking the sea. Makes for a dramatic panorama. The old cobbled street and alleyways contain hidden treasures and surprises, but you need stamina with all the stairs. The beachfront is a pleasant place to relax and have a swim during the summer months. The central piazza is full of bars and gelaterie pushing their... More

Loved walking the old streets of Pizzo, and eating tartufo gelato in the town square. The castle and churches were interesting, and the food everywhere was great.
