On a calm and clear day I imagine this is a great photo opportunity. Unfortunately, it wasn't too calm but was worth a visit nevertheless.

We passed by the mirror lakes on the way to Milford Sound. It was an interesting view and it was a good opportunity to take a nice picture :-) There wasn't much too see aside from the mountain and its reflection in the lake so...More

We were lucky with a winter visit but with clear skies so having the reflections of snow covered mountains in the still water was amazing. Doesn't need a long time to visit as it's right on the main road with great boardwalks along the lakes...More

An easy stop, right by the road at Milford. It was a little windy when we were there so we couldn’t see the reflections well. The scenery was amazing nonetheless.

Well worth the stop on the road to Milford Sound, we stopped both ways because it was so amazing to see the difference that the weather made. The first was with blue skies and the second with grey, and you still got the stunning effect...More

Really beautiful! It is along the way, no long detour and easy for elderly. Must stop and spend 15-20mins!

We would totally have missed this on our drive from Te Anau to Milford Sound had I not asked the lady at our hotel for a map, and had she not casually mentioned mirror lakes as a good stopping point. It’s a tranquil place, and...More

Visited on Friday 4th May 2018. We were very lucky to visit when the weather was fine and got to see the Mirror Lakes at their best. Definitely not to be missed.

Its just so beautiful, indescribable. Very easy, right off the main road, park and walk, less than 5 minutes, all wood planks deck, easy walk. In the morning, the fog was floating half way in , very dreamy, very Asian mystic look, lighting was just...More

There are not many grounds in NZ that hold the atmosphere. Great grounds in Europe and MCC are great, but the way it is built hold in the atmosphere.

Pretty lakes which reflect the lovely scenery in the area, and are so clear you can see to the bottom of the lake. However no facilities on site (toilets etc) so it's just a place to stretch legs and enjoy the scenery rather than somewhere...More
