You must visit to admire the wonder and ingenuity but more important experience them in a narrow boat. Only then will you experience the full majesty and beauty. The lock keepers are so friendly and helpful.

I cycle past here regularly and if there are boats going through the locks then I watch them. Fantastic to see and there is a cafe nearby as well as a great view from the top.

Really nice to see with a lovely walk down by the canal. Well looked after with the ability to get close to the canal edge - makes stomach turn !! Stop at the cafe for a nice drink and cake.

If there is a boat in the lock I'd allow an hour. Then if there isn't you can always stop by the cafe for ice cream or hot chocolate depending on the weather. We parked near the lock and walked from there (about 5 minutes... More
