Very well-maintained church--at perhaps the highest point in Kohima! Access is quite difficult -- with fair amount of walking. Quite a large prayer hall--with excellent gallery type seating!

It's one of the places to visit in Kohima. A nice and peaceful place and also you get a view of Kohima town. It's located in one of the best sites of Kohima on the hills of Aradura free from congestion and pollution. Worth visiting if you're in town.

It is one of the very old construction of British era. Constructed as per Naga style architecture and unique design. It is easily seen on skyline at night..very beautiful decorations of light at night can be seen. Located near main road. Google directions & location given are correct.Car parking is available. Beautiful church inside depicting various Christian values. One of the must visit at Kohima.

"Mary Help Of Christians Cathedral" located on Aradura hill in Kohima is one of the biggest Cathedrals in the North East..Founded in 1989 and consecrated in January 1991 with its facade architecturally designed in the shape of a traditional Naga House.Having personally done pilgrimages across almost all Catholic religious sites across the Globe should say the location and design of this Cathedral makes it one of the most beautiful churches in the World.

The traffic makes this a bit difficult to get to from the War Cemetery (which is at the entrance to the town), but it’s well worth the effort. A soaring arch above the altar is supported by girders round the semi-circular nave; the building is lit by the natural light coming through the east window. The cathedral has a lovely park with good views of the city; a plaque outside notes the tribute paid to this church of reconciliation from the Japanese government. Closed on Mondays.
