This museum is small but well maintained. When we visited in August 2016, there was a special exhibit on Wolves which was informative and well put together. My children enjoyed talking with one of the staff members about his experience working with different branches of Parks Canada. The touch and feel pool was fun.

Shows the fjord in a video from above and below. Great. You get a video flight (though I did notice actual flights are also available by helicopter or floatplane from the welcome centre where we docked.) under water video makes you a diver without the training or the cold.

Great little museum that gives you a multifaceted account of the region - geographical, social and zoological. Add this to your list for the Saguenay!

Has a wow factor multimedia exhibit, one that will enthrall the kids. You sit in an amphitheater that realistically represents the inside of some space ship/ submarine vehicle of the future.

This really isn't much of a museum. There is an aquarium with fish indigenous to the fiord. While interesting to see the fish, it was very small and limited. There was another "touch" tank. The advertised highlight of the museum was a multimedia show explaining the fiord. The theater was supposed to resemble a space ship or a futuristic submarine,... More

This was a great choice for a rainy day, which prevented us from outdoor activities. The museum has a nice base of information on the fjord. They do have a small display of sea creatures that you can both see and some that you can touch. It would have been nice to have a bit more information on the sea... More

We went on a Thursday afternoon thinking it would be a nice visit. There was one small aquarium that had some fish, and one small pond where you could look at some of the creatures up close. That's basically the only thing worth visiting here. The rest of the exhibits were quite small. There was a big hype for the... More

We had 2 kids 8 and 12 + 2 adults. For a rainy day it was fun, we were very pleased to meet an intern from Ontario who made our visit much easier to understand. All of the staff were very nice and accommodating, they took us and the kids out on the fjord as the tide went out to... More

We were quite pleased with this museum and took our time to explore each exhibit. The section on local history was particularly interesting for us. There was an intern on staff from Ontario, and we really appreciated having a detailed explanation in English. The multimedia presentation was okay but they should make more use of the facial recognition technology. Overall,... More
