The Ski Resort of Saariselka is much smaller than all ski resorts in Austria or Switzerland. It has only a few ski lifts and slopes and these are not very long but what do/will you expect in Finland?! The hills are not so high that you can have/ride long slopes and for Finland and even more for Lapland this is... More

We came here for our santas lapland trip and all we can say is, what a fantastic place. Thought it would be really commercialised and over the top with santa paraphernalia but it seemed a really traditional resort - understated and not a glow up santa anywhere. Fantastic.

We visited for a day of snowboarding whilst travelling round northern Finland. The slopes aren't high but they have a good setup, it's easy to arrive - via a frequent ski bus from the hotels or walking as we did - there's one hire shop which opened as the slopes did. We got lift passes and all our gear within... More

Certainly the most northen ski slope I've ever been to. It's a very small ski resort, but how many people have skied this far up north? It was bitterly cold when we were there, so make sure you are well prepared.

Rented our downhill skis here. Very helpful staff. Very close to the ski lift and restaurant. Would use this place again.

Really helpful ladies in the Ski Shop, assisted us with our questions and got us on the slopes all kitted out and provided a lot of good advice about the slopes and services. Dont miss the toboggan run, it was great! We must have done it 6 times - hurtling down that run was just the best, especially taking the... More

If you want to ski instead of lining up for ski lifts, go to Saariselkä. The views are certainly the best in Lapland. The slopes are in good shape, but the profile is quite lame in the beginning, although getting more interesting in the end. Personally I preferred the Iisakkipää slopes more, but it is always very windy on that... More

We found the service at the Ski Centre extremely efficient and the staff were very friendly and helpful. All the equipment was in excellent condition. Email correspondence prior to our arrival in Finland was really quick. For some reason, which was not made clear, we were grouped with a big tour group and so the number of people in our... More

Nice little resort for beginners and intermediates but as mainly blues and reds there probably isn't much for advanced skiers. But as my son is a complete beginner (and I'm not much better) we enjoyed an afternoon on the green runs
