If you’ve got an all zone metro ticket or an annual pass this is included in your ticket. Try and pick a nice day - to make the most of the amazing view of the mouth of the Tyne.

A quick way to go from South shields to North shields. Its a comfortable ride with lots of room. You can sit on the top deck but its warmer inside. Not too expensive to cross and takes about 15 minutes.

On time and the ferry was clean. I just wish the trip took longer. Hmm..I don't think regular commuters would agree with me though.:)

This ferry crossing takes only a little time but it offers you some great views over the Tyne. This crossing is included in your public transport pass when you buy a day saver. I would strongly reccomend to do a crossing.

Taxi is best, steep hill and a 20 minute walk otherwise. Not sure how often the busses work on Sunday's. Probably around a fiver in a cab.
