2 large marquee type areas, good mix of handcrafted foods.
Pity it is only annual, would certainly thrive if 2 or 3 or more times a year.

Came here as we won a voucher at the keel row in a raffle for £20. We came on a Wednesday which we didn't realise you get three tapas and a bottle of wine included. Lovely atmosphere inside. Small menu but a wide variety of food. We ordered 6 tapas altogether and they were all extremely nice. Staff were lovely and made an effort to come and make conversation. We will definitely come back to try other food.

Closing down
Closing down in September and am not surprised.stall holders with attitude selling rubbish. Went with a friend to buy a Welsh dresser after he spoke on the phone and agreed a price when we got there we were charged to enter. The stall holder explained someone else wanted it and we would have to increase our price when we decided to walk away he decided we could have the Welsh dresser but delivery was £50 for a mile journey....... Great way to do business

Closing Down
Sep 2014 • Business
The Fish Quay fair is closing down next weekend, so time is running out to grab yourself a bargain.

To the reviewer who said that some of the stall holders were miserable - that was probably why they were a little off par.

Saw this advertised, and thought we,d take a trip down there and treat ourselves to fresh fish n Chips. It wasn't quite what I'd expected. I'd expected more craft stalls, But, there was some interesting stalls. The stall holders are mixed, some really happy, some miserable. But fir 50p entrance fee you get a lovely cup of tea free.

Loved this market and it's quirkiness. Haven't been since earlier this year and had given it a miss thinking it would be something like Tynemouth Market. Visited last weekend and wow we were well impressed, lots has changed, it's fresh, fun and full! See you again this weekend, our new regular haunt

Fish Quay Market
Aug 2014 • Couples
Visited the market on Sunday 24th August. Lovely day and the market had plenty of stalls and plenty of visitors. A wander round reveals this to be a real "flea market" with everything from "pre-loved" clothes to genuine vintage and antiques. Some beautiful craft work too, mainly jewellery and sewing creations of all kinds. One reviewer has commented on the absence of stall holders, and is obviously unfamiliar with the concept of "helping each other out" common in the markets up here. I think it's a great thing, demonstrating the friendliness of the place. Had a cup of coffee and a sandwich in the cafe. A basic "transport caff" serving fresh food cooked to order, cooked and served by friendly people. I prefer my coffee a little stronger, nevertheless it was a pretty tasty cup of coffee. Just go and have a look for yourselves; you won't know until you've tried it.

Crafters paradise
Jun 2014 • Friends
If your a crafter then a trip to Biltons indoor market on the Fish is a must. They sell everything you need from materials, buttons, beads, card makingetc. If you want to buy hand made crafts then there is an abundance from dog clothing and every accessory you need for the pampered pooch on Sparkles Pet Boutique to hand made clothing, specially hand made cards on Ging productions, special orders taken, she even makes boxes and bandannas for your special occasion. There are many more stalls too. Downstairs there are food stalls, bric a brac, the sewing machine guy who services machines as well and Caroline's potted plants and mant more. Well worth a look. You can even take your dog with you.
