The lushness Dominica was a delight and a joy. I would recommend taking Lewis from Secret Bay who is a native Dominica and explains the island to you. A Lenita recommendation, by the way. Also key is a excursion with Dr. Birdy, the acknowledged official ornithologist in residence in Dominica,

Not a long hike to the falls. Be prepared to cross the river a few times to get up close to the falls. Don't be tempted to go steep uphill to the right if the falls. Get down to the river and get your feet wet and walk up the river to get close. The view is worth it. It... More

If you are staying in Portsmouth, this is an easy falls to get to. Our PAYS rep, Spesh, got us a driver He takes you to a point where you hike maybe 1/2 mile or less in to the Falls. Since you hike through private property, there is a 10EC charge but you get a piece of coconut or orange... More

This is a short walk from the road and a beautiful natural park. Good for entire family, very well thought out.

Rather rugged drive to the entrance, then a challenging hike through mud and stream to get to the falls. Good water shoes or hiking sandals are a must. Nice shady stream with rocky bottom leads to a lovely falls. No swimming in the falls pool, though.

Very few people visit these falls, so you are likely to be here alone. I found the trail and path to the falls very easy to navigate. We didn't have a guide and had no trouble at all. The path is very muddy so wear hiking shoes. On your descent toward the water, keeps your eyes and ears open for... More

Wow! The drive to the falls starts the adventure. Bring your lunch and plan to hike and relax. Cool walking conditions, wear comfortable water shoes. Swim and enjoy the cool waters, lunch and explore the rocks. We found crabs and shrimp.

Nice falls. But road and trail leading up to it needs to be better maintained. Kind of easy to miss trail when crossing the river so some signage would be good.

The view is unbelievable. The beauty of the falls is breathtaking. The pictures we got of the falls and the selfies with the falls in the background are priceless.
