We love this organic farm... we had a wonderful time first horseback riding, then wine tasting, then an evening massage. Breakfast was amazing.. including Merlot grape juice (not wine, but the juice from the grapes... stunning!)

An absolute must indeed! Spent a day here while on tour in Italy... it was the highlight of our 2 week trip! Breathtaking views...cooking lessons...a tour of the grounds...even a steal on an original pottery plate!! This is where memories are made! Tuscany ... home away from home!

This is the most perfect place I have ever stayed! I led a group of 31 to Italy and we wanted to stay at a farmhouse. I am so glad we chose this one!
The rooms are updated with amenities (like USB plugs for phone charging, so comfy beds, and well-functiioning bathrooms) but retain the historical charm with original wooden floors, doors, and exteriors. Breakfast & dinner were amazingly prepared with farm-fresh ingredients. The owner took some of us on a truffle hunt and spent so much time telling us about the wine-making, animals, agriculture, and other businesses that make up their propety. Some of my group opted to skip Florence to just spend a full day at the farmhouse - it was that relaxing! We had a magical moment when 4 horses walked through the gorgeous outdoor dining area on their way to another pasture but stopped for some pets and scratches on the way. It was surreal. The views are stunning, sunsets were breathtaking, staff was so kind and helpful, and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our 3 nights there. We will be back!

I want to first say that without Faye, this experience wouldn't have been possible! She was an amazing host, and received us even though we didn't have a reservation. The short tour of the winery she gave us was 5 stars all around! She was extremely passionate about her beautiful Vineyard, and had great detailed information about the wines and the making process.

Faye then directed us to the main restaurant/airbnb for the wine tasting. This is where the 9 of us got a bit disappointed with the wine tasting experience. Faye had told us that it would be cheaper to purchase 4 bottles, and then sampled them, so that's what we did. We were also given 4 small sharing portions of two different pastas as a pairing.

Then we received the bill, and were charged €38/person, so for 9 of us, it came up to roughly $400!? That was very steep, considering we only had 4 bottles of wine ($16-$25/bottle) with some extremely undercooked pasta dishes. Also, two people didn't drink any wine, so why charge them $40? I'm not sure if there was some miscommunication between the restaurant and Faye, but this was very disappointing.

Overall, this experience started off as good as it could've been. Faye truly went above and beyond, but then our experience was diminished by being over charged (in my opinion) for 4 bottles of wine and not so good pasta dishes (the pasta was so tough to chew). I really wanted to give this place a 5 star review, but the clients I brought there weren't very thrilled with the high price and low quality of food. Maybe this was just a one off?

We stayed at Fattoria Lavaccio, they are very welcoming , overall great service. The food served at the restaurant exceeded our expectations, from aperitivo to dessert. Very calm atmosphere and a dream view from our room which was quite clean. The olive oil tasting was also a perfect way to hike around and to visit Leonardo’s da Vinci design windmill. We loved it , specially our toddler since he has the chance to be with the horses and play in the fields while we experienced the tasting tour. We’re looking forward to go back.

We were there for a long weekend with some friends. A perfect weekend, we did the cooking class that was very funny and interesting. We also had a very nice tour at the winery. It was the best tour I ever had. It was at the time where they were harvesting very very interesting. No wonder people a coming back to this place.

My boyfriend and I had such an amazing time!!! The one thing my boyfriend requested for our trip to Italy was to go olive oil tasting. It is a little out of the way coming from Florence because you have to take a train to Pontassieve then pay for a cab but it is SO WORTH IT! We learned so much about olives and the history of the windmill. Our tour guide Tatsu also took the time to talk about the wine they grow on the property. The personal touch and attention to detail showed how much he loved working there! Their olive oil was amazing and we ended up getting a sample of wine too! We ended up buying olive oil and getting lunch at their little deli. The spread they put together was incredible! I had the best charcuterie plate and my boyfriend had a grains salad! It was a beautiful, relaxing day! We will for sure return to Pontassieve.

Truly a gem in so many ways, Fattoria Lavacchio was a highlight for us while in Firenze. The trip was a short ways away from the city and the staff made arrangements for travel from the train station, so it was perfect. Tatsu was a wonderful, knowledgeable host and guide and showed us the beauty and potential of Tuscany. We loved all the products produced by them, esp their 2017 reserve olive oil and their Chianti.

This was unplanned indeed. A popular outlet for regional Wines, Cheeses and light lunch. Informal and service was good. There were many locals having their lunch break.
There is a Windmill from the past and the views are spectacular from this plateau.
Recommend for a lunch trip for those residing in and around Pontassieve.
