Spectacular formations in large, circular site. Easy 800m walk through woodland to reach the site. Were staying in the area and thought we should see these rare sandy rocks- glad we did! Amazing, worth 5 euros to get in.

Beautiful - highlight of Ille-sur-tet. We were at a disadvantage as we had been to Cappadocia, Turkey so had seen these kind of formations before on a larger scale but still enjoyed.

Take a brake from the beach and visit this "Masterpiece of Nature" in the Tet valley. Erosion through thousand of years made these spectacular sceneries. The local compare it with Bryce Canyon in USA

The Orgues are the remnants of a river bed formed in geological time and change constantly from erosion. There are spectacular pinnacles and galleys and great views over the surrounding area. The brochure handed out by the ticket office (5 euros entry) is very good in its account of the park. There's a small cafe with drinks and snacks when... More

The 'organ-like' rock formations in this area are truly spectacular. The gradually erosion caused by water over millennia create these towering sculptural formations. You can get great aerial views of des orgues by taking the road out from Ille-sur-Tet towards Montalba and there is a 'table d'orientation' or viewing spot that overlooks the site and gives amazing all round views.... Visiting this place was not in the planned itinerary, however, it attracted one of my friends by a post card in a souvenir shop during the trip. After we bought the tickets at the ticket office of the site, we followed the direction to walk along the path which took us around 15 mins to arrive the site. The site... More

Orgues d'Ille-sur-Tet is a charmant and lovely place. We are sitting in a front of a wonderful geology site. The power of water is just astounding. The walk does not last too long, but get your camera out, it's worth a visit.

Definitely take time to visit this amazing place, but above all, TAKE A PICNIC! The walk up from the car park is very easy, we managed with our 4 kids all wearing flip flops and wondered why some folk were lacing up their hiking boots before they set off?! If you are lucky a lady will be selling perfectly ripened... More

It's definitely worth a trip to see these if you are in the locale. Fascinating walk though them. We took our dogs and were given pooper bags - it was funny, because in the UK people pretty much always use them, so they were pleased to find that we had already brought our own! It's good though, because it means... More
