We had our wedding at the Royal Oak and they really went all out to give us a great day. We started with a whisky and chocolate tasting, with a history of each whisky. It was very entertaining and for those who didn't fancy whisky they provided big gin cocktails. After a wonderful 3 course meal and a selection of... More

We had a lovely evening at The Royal Oak. Food was very nice, homemade style, nothing fancy by very tasty and we really enjoyed it. Love the champagne and raspberry cocktail with the good conversation of Rosamund. We also did the tasting "Whisky and Chocolate", it was very interesting and delicious. Don't miss it.

We visited for dinner on a weekday recently and had a good experience. It has a homely, cottage atmosphere. Menu is set and can be 2 course or 3. Food arrived hot and tasty with good service. Large range of local alcoholic drinks available. Reasonable prices.

Simple 2 or 3 course set menu, but food quality from this familiy run pub was outstanding! I understand it has been recently purchased by new owners and it is clear they are making something of it! A really nice touch was the chef coming out into the restaurant to enquire with each diner as to how they had found... More

We stayed at the adjacent Highland Spirit B&B, owned by relatives of the folks who recently bought the Royal Oak, and the tandem of the two made for a great experience.
