Stunning, wide expanse of beautiful beach. If you don't want to pay for parking, go south through the town about a mile and park on the side of the road by La Taranta restaurant.

Stunning beach with Caribbean style sand. Very very windy! really good for surf and kite like sports! Not many other beach amenities there. It may sense to spend your beach day there but bring your equipment and umbrella if prior not located a chiringuito.

Another really fantastic beach. Beautiful soft sand and clear water, and unlike playa de los alemanes this one has great chiringuitos with all the gear - hamacas and the rest. A highlight was the little cala at the far South end (to your left looking...More

A 'chic' surfers retreat. Great sandy beaches. Strong Atlantic breezes! Charming little streets, full of shops bars and restaurants. Just loved it!

This beach is long, wide and with lots of space. Golden sand and small chirringuitos spread out. Why I don’t give 4 stars is that La Barrossa, in my mind, is one step up (better waves, more picturesque especially in eastern end, more fun to...More

We just spent a weekend with friends and children. Nice sandy beach and not many people at this weekend (end of june). Good for long walks. Many good restaurants along the beach. You also find many shops.

The Beach here is huge, clean, beautiful and completely natural. For the summer the facilities that are provided are sympathetic to the surroundings and offer a great chilled vibe. During winter the Beach is breathtaking in its beauty. A perfect beach to run on when...More

Look in El Puerto de Santa Maria, you can walk to the train station but better yet to the ferries that will take you across the bay to Cadiz.
