Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely very long sandy beach. There was quite a lot of seaweed washed up when I was there in March but didn't detract from its beauty. Backed by trees. The beach shelves steeply down and the waves are deceptively rough. Someone from my party got injured when she was knocked over by a wave. Some food trucks. Don't remember seeing any sunbeds for hire.

One of my favorite spot in Gwada whoever travel with you, teens, family, friends, old people.
Easy access straight from the parking, some “restaurant” in front of the beach (relative quality), and a shower post bath if needed.
This beach can offer you sand, sun and waves for the fun.
No major risk if you are a swimmer, be careful with young children due to the backwash sometimes.

This is easily one of the best beaches in Guadeloupe. Long, clean, light sand and friendly water.
It would be hard to imagine an expanse this extensive crowded.
Well served with lots of restaurants (some really quite excellent), snack places and bars. A vendor or two selling beach wraps. Also a kayak (and paddle chair rental) for either sea side or mangrove.
Parking is crowded and generally a madhouse, but it is worth persevering.
What is missing is some sort of public amenities for rinsing off the salt after bathing and toilet facilities. Even if offered at a charge, these would be welcome for those who come from any distance.

Postcard material, the beach truly is very beautiful. Only thing is, everyone knows it, and goes there! Sand isn’t very wide either, so can get a bit packed. We only paid the beach a visit once, enjoyed it, but preferred the greater space and smaller crowd on plage de la Perle.

This is a very nice beach just north of Deshaies. There are quite a few restaurants and 1 food truck. If the food truck line is long (assume at least 30 minutes for food) there are some food trucks out on the main road that are tasty and quicker. There are also a nice shop for clothes and souvenirs. Parking can be tricky. There's a lot next to the beach.

A great wild tropical beach with perfect sand stretching for about two kilometers. At the very end, there is a cluster of small shack-style restaurants offering local food. The parking lot there gets quite crowded. Luckily, most people never wander far away from that end, so with a small effort, you can have the feeling of being alone on a tropical beach.
The waves are fierce, and the currents are treacherous. It is really really not recommended to swim here. The beach is for sunbathers and photographers.

A beautiful beach with some nice cafeterias. Not suitable for young children since the waves are quite powerful. Spend a few hours but bring chairs if you’re not a person who likes laying in the sand.

It is a very beautiful beach, long and wide with golden sand, very shaded by palm trees and trees. Behind it there is a convenient car park, some restaurants and some street food trucks.
There are very high waves and a strong and important undertow. The signs in the car park warn of the risk also because there are no rescue personnel

Large beach which allows long walks. Will accommodate families well but be careful of the returning waves which pull towards the open sea. Still quite a few spaces offering shade. Several restaurants nearby, with varied offers in terms of price and quality...Parking is not easy compared to other beaches in Guadeloupe. It’s not at the door if you leave Grande Terre…allow a good hour from Pointe à Pitre.

The most beautiful beach in Guadeloupe? It is idyllic with its warm water, calm sea (most often) and few people at all times. The phage is large. It is only reached by a small road where you can find people. Although... A "Robinson" side on the cheap. We'd stay there forever!

Hi nach Hamburg, hahabubu,
welchen kleineren Strand meinst du? Wir sind morgen noch in Deshaies und würden gerne in eurer Bucht schnorcheln. Was habt ihr gesehen? Danke!!!!! Michaela

Moin,

Hi How far is this beach from the cruise port Pointe-à-Pitre? Can one easily find a taxi back or do we need to have an appointment? Thank you very much.

Bonjour
