Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a beauty, an open-air aquarium. The water is so clear that you are lucky enough to swim between schools of fish, and if you get close to the rocks it is definitely worth the trip.
It is a family beach with little parking space so you have to arrive early.

Great beach, deep soft golden sand, some shade from palms at back, trees on S side - turquoise clear sea - our 4th stay in Ferry 😄!
Best of all is the excellent snorkelling - swim out along curving S side - initially a ‘forest’ of swaying silver & golden fern corals. Then keep going over/along wide projecting fingers of coral reef up to 80m long - abundant gorgonian fans, sea whips etc etc. Plentiful reef fish populations - parrot, box, wrasse, etc etc a few big porcupine fish - 2 to 8m below you - so easy to see.
Lucky day and you could spot green turtles - a large & med so far this year - they hang out nearer the centre of bay about 200m out. Keep going to Pointe Ferry - 400m - chub, jacks etc.

Watch out if the surf is up at beach when a swell is on - big strong undertow - shelves quickly - hang onto your kids!

Small parking area behind beach or on side lane across road, generally not crowded at all, busier on Sundays. Cafe and pastries at bar/rest behind beach, lunch place also is good 😋! All day store and bakery 100m in Ferry village - all essentials.

Enjoy it all one of the very best beaches on Gwada 🐠🐡🐟🏝

Many people on the island told us that this was the place to go for a swim and snorkel. They also said it was a little hard to find, but worth the effort. Other online reviews called it the best secret beach on the island. Yes, it's great for a swim, snorkel and chill on the beach. But a secret it is not. We found it to be quite crowded on the beach given it's small size. Parking was also a little harder than expected but nothing to cry about. The day we were there, there was a few jellyfish that were caused a little sting for a few minutes if you bumped into one. Once you got through those, the snorkel sites were up there with the best on the island. We recommend the right side of the beach off the point as the best location for snorkeling. Saw lots of interesting fish but sadly no turtles.

We didn't see turtles, but we did enjoy the snorkeling. Nice smaller beach. Good reefs to explore. As mentioned by others, for a secret beach, it can get busy with a fair number of people.

Also recommend it as a quick stop beach if you are just passing by, because, even if you have to park up at the road, it is a quick walk to the water and easy in and out.

A delightful beach. Calm, clear and excellent snorkeling along both sides of this picturesque crescent beach. Just a short ride from Deshaies (which is a great little town with some amazing restaurants!). Checkout Petit Anse and La Perle as well.

We really liked this beach. It should come as no surprise I guess, but it is bigger than Pettie Anse which is just about one kilometer south, and smaller than Grande Anse, which is on the other side of Deshaies, to the North. We had a rental house very close by, so several morning I would walk down to the beach to check it out. It was quiet in the morning with a few people going for early morning swims or walks on the beach. My family also spent a day here. Most people try to grab some shade from the palm trees at the top of the beach. We went snorkeling on the left side of the beach. That was very nice. The snorkeling down the road at Petite Anse was a little better. If you are nearby and have time I would check out both beaches. We had lunch at the restaurant just up the hill at the top of the parking lot, Au Bon Accueil. The food was decent, but the service was very, very slow.

This beach is quiet, with good spots for children and for snorkeling. If you don’t bring your own chairs, but want a little back support, there are some aptly shaped boulders that are well placed. Recommend parking just across the main road rather than driving in to the beach parking. You’ll find it easier to leave, if and when you do.

We are water rather than beach people and had a few good swims and some decent, though not spectacular, snorkeling on this pretty stretch of sand. We also covered up after our swims and ate some tasty lunches at the small restaurants on the main road above the beach.
