Incredible fortress sitting on a 100m high tufo, with views across the valley to troglodyte dwellings, plenty of information on Orsini family and Sarona as a whole

WE had a very nice tour there with a lovely guide from the museum. Interesting for history and architecture lovers.

What a very interesting tour of the fort and the complexity of the battlements built in the 15th century. Quite interesting about the entrance to the castle, the fortifications if attacked, the connections underground between the forts, etc.

We were staying at the hotel, so we decided to take a tour of the fortress and museum. It was €4/pp, which was very reasonable for the length of the tour. We had a great guide and toured top to bottom. There were a few tricky parts (one where you have to slightly jump to get to the ground) and... More

My 4 year old had a ball and as a result so did we! We slept in the hotel part of the fortress and in the morning with had breakfast with delicious chocolate filled crossiants and a cafe latte. I totally reccomend the tour of the fortress, 1 hour and a half of the history that surrounds you...I LOVED it.... More
