The central part of the caste, where the hotel and the piazza are nicely kept it is OK. Unfortunately to reach that area you have to pass through the first castle and the reception: here there are offices, shops, walk away a to the towers......More

If you are in Sorano, it is worth the visit that starts in the Parco Archeologico, and it will take you as well underground the fortress.and understand how the Orsinis, developed the place. Simply must.

Incredible fortress sitting on a 100m high tufo, with views across the valley to troglodyte dwellings, plenty of information on Orsini family and Sarona as a whole

What a very interesting tour of the fort and the complexity of the battlements built in the 15th century. Quite interesting about the entrance to the castle, the fortifications if attacked, the connections underground between the forts, etc.

My 4 year old had a ball and as a result so did we! We slept in the hotel part of the fortress and in the morning with had breakfast with delicious chocolate filled crossiants and a cafe latte. I totally reccomend the tour of...More
