Have heard about dog-racing in Macau but never got a chance to really watch it. So we did spare a Sunday Night to go and try to feel the old Macau as this industry is honestly dying yet we were still surprised by how few people came. It starts at 8pm and holds 12 rounds each takes about 15 mins.... More

Is a good laugh. Dog racing happens all over the place but only at Macau in Asia. As long as you go with open mind and just treat it as a fun night out, where you will loose some money, but may win some too Not many people go, so it is easy to bet and lost of space to... More

During the 60's and 70's of last century, this greyhound racing place was packed with spectators from (mostly local) and Hongkong. The starting time of each and every race was delayed to wait for the computor to accept the pouring-in bets. Ever since the restriction of illigle off-course bettings ,everything changed. However, I still love this short duration races to test... More

The Yi yuan Dog Show is a special place in the Macau, I think that only Macau will have this show. The Yi yuan Dog Show just behind my home, it is very close. In the night, we want to go to have a see. When we went there. The building of the YI yuan is a little old. It... More

This is the only Grey-hound racing betting place in Asia. In the 1960's, both the Hongkong and Macau citizens were crazy about this game. After the legallising of the off-course betting in Hongkong for the betting of Hongkong horse racing, the business dropped rapidly. Not many younger generation of Hongkong citizen may even know the existance of this organisation. The betting... More

After spending a day at the casinos going to the greys at Macau as really fun. There was hardly anyone there and I seemed to be the only one drinking but I had the best experience. I reckon is was a lot better than the casinos!

I always wondered what it meant when trainers in AU said 'the dog was sold to China'. I guess that the Macau Canidrome is the answer. The venue is located in an urban part of Macau, and is certainly not of an international standard. The dogs run on loam, have six rugs per race and is a difficult place to... More

I had deep positive impression of canidrome. Maybe just because i visited canidrome first time in my life. You can just stay and watch those beatiful animals for hours, really. And this watching is funny as well, i like that crazy mechanical puppet like dogs do. Photography is prohibited, therefore i am very sorry to leave my poor lexicon without... More

It's nice to see the last frontier of greyhound racing that is sadly, anticipated to be coming to an end, thanks to human rights groups which deemed the sport, cruel. Cruel because the "retired"" dogs are known to be put to sleep after their years of serving. Entrance fee however was cheap at 1.00 ++ sgd.
