This beach is absolutely gorgeous. Very calm water, beautiful sunset and lots of delicious local food to try around. Poblado de Boquerón is literally minutes away and there you can mingle with locals while sipping on cold pina colada. Legend says that Cofresi have hidden his treasure somewhere around...and I think I found it. Boqueron.

It was a nice calm swimming beach with very warm, blue water. The bathrooms need updating but it was almost empty during the week. Lots of space and nice sand. Some of the picnic tables were in the shade but we didn't spend more than a couple of hours here. A local man was selling ice cream which was wonderful!

Visited on a Saturday when locals of all ages were relaxing and having a good time. We thoroughly enjoyed the nice vibe together with nice water and sandy beach. We were staying in Rincon where it is difficult to find a beach without waves which is a success criteria with toddlers. This beach is almost without waves and worked beautifully... More

Being from Australia I think my perception of what is a good beach must different to Puerto Rico standards. We have spent a week visiting various "recomended" beaches in mainland Puerto Rico, this one sits at about average out of those. We based ourselves on Rincon, if you are a surfer it woukd be a really good place, amazing world... More

Crystal clear water, extremely calm, which is great if you are not a strong swimmer or have small children to worry about. Sunsets in Boquerón are breathtaking!

Nice beach with lots of areas to relax. All year round lifeguards and security. Has some deep areas wich are after the buoys (do not pass). There is a eating place at the beach and nearby restaurants at El Poblado (walking distance from beach). Nearby hotels are at walking distance.

Is a small vivid town. I enjoy El Poblado, but the beach is average. I stayed in the beach near Poblado and the sand was slimmy (in the water), maybe if I walked further it wasn't like that.

This place is very run down. The parking is run by a vendor and all they care about is collecting money. It cost $5.50 to park here and there are many other free and better beaches in Puerto Rico. Stay Away.

I love visiting Boqueron on the off-season. The beaches are practically empty and you can really enjoy a day in the sun. My husband and I took a Christmas weekend trip out there this year and we enjoyed every second of it.

We stayed nearby at Aquarius Vacation Resorts. The water was muddied by the rain. The staff said the beach had sea weed and was a bit dirtied by a week of rain every day. It rained our first two days there. We will try again next year.
