This in one of the old churches on the island of Siquijor. The design & architecture has been preserved and adds to the old-world mystical feel of the whole island.

It is not elaborately decorated facade but it speaks for the time it has been there. There were some relics to show off but not so much to see inside.

Architecturally interesting as a piece of Spanish colonial religious site that is still fairly original. If you're into old buildings or if you're catholic then it's worth stopping by, especially if you're riding the national road over the island. Be respectful though as this is a place of worship for the locals so it's best to avoid beachwear.

But, the candle vendors will not stop until you buy from them which can be annoying. :( Nice church.

this church is an interresting place to visite. The only thing I don´t understand is why the Holy Mother Marie is locked behind bars

Beautiful piece of history to see in all its form. Great to see it has been maintained but not modernised so still shows it's true character.

We came here specifically for this little attraction on our scooter. Unfortunately we had to notice that there are quite a few Beggers around the little church. We went inside, had a nice view, went back outside and gave a little bit donation to the needy. On the other hand we went across the road to the little Monastery and... More
