This is probably not for everyone..However if you want to support the protection of the butterfly it is worth the hour trip up the mountain and hour back down but may be worth planning to go somewhere else. It's not that easy to find as the posting from the road is a very old sign and a lady showing you... More

We hired a bike and planned to go up the mountain. I had seen the butterfly garden as one of the things to do in Siquijor but had read that it was difficult to find (which it isn't really) as I just so happened to stumble across it on my way to the summit of siquijor, so it was a... More

After over a hour riding into the hills to find the Butterfly sanctuary,we almost rode past I very old not clear sign but for a local lady shouting to us, must be a common thing people having trouble finding it. The so called sanctuary is just a very small netted area in a garden. Total time to walk and see... More

100peso entrance but worth it. Around 10 different species and not that big but the owner was saving to expand to a second garden. Great to combine with an island tour. We went to Cambugahay falls afterwards which was amazing!

This is a little gem hidden away in the mountains of Siquijor. The roads are less traveled up here and just the ride up is amazing in itself. There are so many beautiful native butterfly species here and they are hoping to expand to protect even more. A big percentage of butterflies bred here are released back into the wild... More

It is quite a ride to get there and is a bit hard to find, it's pretty much at the op of the mountain hidden off the main road. It has a 100peso entry fee this is supposedly because they reciever no funding and are self sufficient. Anyway the 'Farm' is a 4x4m enclosure with plants and maybe 50 odd... More

What a beautiful place!! What amazing people! A little paradise on the very top of Siquijor... Dante and his family created this beautiful little butterfly garden to protect them as they are seriously endangered because of the chemicals used around the island. Deforestation problems on the island and climate change are also affecting them a lot, from what they've explained... More

We visited the butterfly sanctuary by accident. The guy who owns the shop saw us riding and asked if we wanted to visit. And we were glad we did, he was very enthousiastic and friendly. He told us all about the butterflies. The garden he built was beautiful and there are many butterflies! If you can you should really go... More

Not sure, what to think of this privately managed Butterfly garden. The owner wanted to charge us 100 php per person for a small area covered with a net. He mentioned, that he is not getting supported by the government, hence the stiff price. To be honest, this made me more suspicious than actually wanting to support his business. I... More
