Their laboratory is a nice space, with a large window and three tables where the work tools are placed: rollers, chisels, metal punches, chisels, colors. A shelf to put porcelain and a large oven in the next room, where to cook the precious works before finishing the work. Lena's father, Marco Costantini was a pioneer of engraving for the decoration of earthenware and porcelain. In the 1950s he worked at Lavenese Ceramics creating his own works but also for artists such as Antonia Campi, Leonor Fini, Mario Villani Marchi. When the factory closed he continued to work the porcelain, refining the techniques so as to present his works around the world. A passion that he then passed on to the whole family. In fact, after her death in 2003, her daughter, son-in-law and then niece continued her work. Lena, Franco and Serena are the founders of Bottega Costantini, a surname that recalls the tradition of porcelain engraving.
