Amazing to find in such a small town. Definitely worth the visit. It has a great location and on the outside you get the feeling of being in an ancient Roman park with its bronze statues of animals. Lots of places to eat nearby (from cheap, basic to fine dining - at the Sana Hotel), 2 hours should do it.... More

Interesting for the art lovers, only small.we were very surprised to be told that there was no toilet available for the customers.as there were staff working there we were not amused as they must have some facilities. The lack of a toilet made our visit rather more hurried than we would have liked.

I visited the museum on three occasions, two just to enjoy the exhibits and a further visit to attend a concert. Set in the grounds of the Don Carlos Park in Caldas da Rainha the museum is easily accessible, the walk through the park is a joy in itself. The museum is dedicated to the wonderful talents of the Artist... More

It is a very interesting visit for art lovers. Lovely museum with a collection of the principal portuguese naturalists. The collection of Bordalo Pinheiro, The passion of Christ, is stunning, as well as some paintings of Malhoa, among others. The Museum is located in the beautiful Park of D. Carlos.

A beautiful museum with an interesting selection of exhibits. Somewhere I can visit time and time again and always find something different and interesting. If you get the chance to attend any concerts they are well worth attending.

The museum is located in the beautiful city park of Caldas da Rainha. It was purpose-built as a museum and covers mainly late romantic and naturalist paintings in Portugal (2nd half 19th Century-1st half 20th century) with José Malhoa as the central figure. Lots of rural landscapes and portraits. Beyond the paintings there is also a room with ceramics made... More

It an exhibition of some local painters and sculptors important in Portuguese art. Very interesting painting and sculptures. Its located in a great garden with a small lake where you can have a rowing boat ride.
