Absolutely the highlight of our trip! We had debated on it prior to coming to Ireland and happened to run into a family that's had done it. They said we had to do it and I'm so glad that we did! Tommy was simply wonderful and really taught us so very much about the birds! We had a blast and... More

My wife and I absolutely loved our extended hawk walk with our patient and knowledgeable guide Alec. Our birds, Stoker and Swift were instantly comfortable with my wife and I because of the confidence and calm Alec created for them. He gave us a quick greeting and about two minutes later we were handling the birds. We were taught some... More

Walk around shooting locations from The Quiet Man while controlling your very own Falcon - Absolutely amazing! Get up close and personal with some huge birds, owls, etc. Take part in a piece of time from years gone by - and a craft that has all but disappeared. Do NOT forgo this if you're in the area!

Based on the reviews, we knew we were in for a treat, we just didn't think it was be as amazing as it was. We met with our guide Alec who was both friendly, funny, and... More

As I mentioned in my previous post I did this when we were in the castle. They are the best way to go. It was a great time.

We had a really great afternoon at the Irish School of Falconry with our instructor Conall who let us walk with and fly the Hawks 'Joyce' and 'Swift' around the grounds of the fabulous Ashford Castle. Conall was very knowledgeable and we learned so much about the Hawks and the other falcons at the school. When we finished flying our... More

Highly recommend the School of Falconry. We were able to walk with Hawks on our arms and the birds flew to and from our arms for the 40-60 minute nature walk. Joe was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable. It was an amazing experience and a great activity for a group. There were 6 of us and we 'flew'... More
