Three of us were recently traveling through Cong during our trip in Ireland (myself, my sister and her husband). We wandered in just to check it out and then went back the next day to buy some things for a meal! This is a great place and the Ryan's are delightful...friendly, helpful and willing to take the time to tell us all about their shop and the items they sell. Wonderful selection of fresh meat from local farmers and prepared foods to help put together a quick meal. We had a hard time making a decision about what to buy since it all looked so good. Lots of local people shopping there...so nice to see them greeted by name and fun for us to have the opportunity to chat with them. I hope to go back some day soon!

Our family rented a home in Cong recently and one afternoon we had family members over for a visit. Mr. Ryan on very short notice prepared a wonderful arrangement of food including ham, turkey, roast beef, green salad ( with homemade dressing) potato salad and dessert. The food was fresh and tasty ( and we had great leftovers for the next few days). Though our event was being held on a day when the shop was closed, Mr. Ryan generously opened his shop that day so the food would be as fresh as possible. The food was delicious and we couldn't have been happier to have dealt with such a friendly and thoughtful business owner who really takes pride in the food he prepares. We would definitely go back!
