We had a very nice walk along this public beach. It gave another prespective of how diverse the Dominicus is and how many beautiful beaches they have. This beach is nestled out in the middle of farm land which ads beautiful harmony.

Yes, an absolutely amazing coast if you like the sun (and it is very hot), the sandy beach, some rocky little corners and are interested in coral fossils of all kinds, some still within the rocks, some detached, fossils dating from thousands, millions years and...More

People so friendly, try to speak Spanish, even if just hello. They no your a tourist and some of the locals may try to sell you some holiday gifts, just a respectable no with a smile and they will except your decision.

The best excursion ever! Worth every penny. Great food, awesome catamaran trip, and relaxing time on the beach. We met some great people that day as well. Our guide (which I wish I could remember his name) treated us all like family. Out of the...More

The public beach itself is rather small and pressed between resort beaches. Tends to be crowded and was visibly dirty. When you accidentally wonder into a resort beach guards will not force you out but unpleasant interest can be felt. Some nice waves can be...More

The Bayahibe residents who work in the shops in the public beach were so friendly and helpful. I had a problem with my phone and they sat with me and helped until I found my friend. Look for Tito at the shops!

The water is more ruff than at our resort but most people spoke English and it was a great public beach,

Exactly where were you for "great snorkeling". Our impression wasn't that good. Not much in the way of colorful fish or intact live corral.

My best and incredible experience in snorkel was in Bonaire. In Punta Cana all the Coral Reef are "make by hands" are not natural.

Are there lockers or other alternatives to store a few belongings if we go snorkeling in Bayahibe on our own? We are staying at an A1 in LaRomans. We will be happy to pay, but don't need an A1 day pass in Bayahibe. Thank you
