The museum of Corfu was just one of the best places to visit in this beautiful town. Off the beaten path, you'll avoid many tourists and feel like you're on a real getaway. The beaches are really the highlight of Corfu, but finding yourself yearning...More

Be serious, do not even announce a further opening date if you are not sure to respect it. SHAME! The new museum is READY, we know it, you received 4,5 millions from the EU. What are you waiting for??????

Despite some reviews to the contrary, the main archaeological museum in Corfu town remained closed as of 11th May 2017 and there is still no indication as to when it might reopen.

Despite slightly misleading reviews below, the archaeological museum has been closed for some time for renovation. It is well over schedule and sadly there is still no anticipated date for its opening at this time. :( A another victim of the crisis.

Nice, clean, well lit. Excellent signage and cheap to get in. Nice for a rainy day or when then heat is oppressive.

Many coins, artifacts and statuary from ancient Greece and also Roman remains. It is a small museum, cheap entry fee and much to see.

you buy the museum pass which includes the archaeology museum. you would think they would mention that it was closed and has been for some time, especially since it is quite a walk to get to it. Another black mark for Greece
