Oh so good!
Oct 2019
This bakery is a very special place. We were there to pick up some rusks to use for a meal later on but received the added treat of watching some bread being made in their very traditional way with some of the original machinery. It's a family owned and run bakery dating back hundreds of years and still maintains its authentic charm. Everyone was so friendly and while we were only there for the one item, in the end we couldn't resist trying their spinach and feta pies. They were crispy and oh so delicious. This is a lovely gem and we highly recommend a visit.

The Parthenon of Mykonos
Sep 2020 • Friends
Our family had the privilege once again this summer to visit the medieval traditional Gioras bakery in the narrow streets of Mykonos. To taste the buttery pastries and enjoy a cup of freshly ground coffee in this historical environment is medicinal. Cloe and Gioras welcomed us and made us feel at home. Every corner of this bakery has many stories to tell. All kinds of bread and food stories since the wood burning oven cooked on Sundays the roasts and dinners back in the days when electric ovens were only a dream. The Gioras medieval bakery is the most authentic and honest place in the entire island. In our family we call it the Parthenon of Mykonos.

We highly recommend this place for a tasty breakfast or an early afternoon coffee stop.
We hope you will enjoy the ambiance of this place and the living hospitality of Cloe and Gioras.

I would not recommend this place
Aug 2020
Worst food and service ever. We choose this location based on recommendations, initially to have a local experience/breakfast. The cafe is filthy (sticky tables and chairs) and reeks of gasoline and sewer smell. The food that was served to us was disgusting (undrinkable coffee, burned industrial bread) and nothing local (industrial honey and butter). My friend and I forced ourselves to eat some of the bread and the coffee to avoid insulting the "poor owner" (and were intending to tip the guy because we thought he is struggling to keep the place open). To top it all, the greedy owner charged us 18 euros for 2 cups of coffee (paper cups) and 2 burned toasts. I do not recommend this place for all the reasons listed above.

Fabulous find great GLUTEN FREE
Sep 2020 • Couples
What a fabulous little place. Such history and tradition within this beautiful little cafe. I strongly recommend anyone to go here, but more importantly there are so many GLUTEN FREE options 😍 Everything I tried was beautiful. My partner who isn’t GF had the baklava and many other yummy treats that he said were divine. This cafe is definitely worth a visit, if not only for the treats but the tradition it clearly holds and the history in the building.

Sensational Bakery!
Aug 2020 • Couples
Wow! What a find! Everything about this place is amazing - the lovely lady who runs it, the interior and the mouthwatering pastries, pies and coffees. The best spinach pie I’ve had in 2 weeks island hopping. I will be back! Cannot recommend enough!

Nice little bakery
Jun 2019
Definitely a quaint little bakery down some steps. If you're not paying attention you'll likely walk right by it. They've got a wide selection of baked goods and it's hard to choose because they all looked and smelled great. The owner of this baker is really friendly as well which always makes it even more pleasurable experience.

Feels like home.

The atmosphere and the kindness of the owner are very overwhelming. We have spent 2 hours sitting inside with George and just enjoying the place and pastries. The lady working there makes amazing Greek coffee too. Highly recommended.

Stopped in here to have a spinach/feta pie and almond baklava. She heated the pie for us. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was medieval Greek. Lovely.

Delicious!
Jul 2019 • Couples
We spent three days in Mykonos and came here twice. The inside of this bakery is so cool and the food is delicious! Very inexpensive, too! The mini spanakopita and the vanilla creme in filo paper were DELICIOUS! The owner was so kind as well. Great place for a snack or light lunch

Delicious greek delicacies, after finally finding this place whilst getting lost in Mykonos,we bought a variety of sweet treats to try for morning tea from a beautiful lady and sat outside a little Greek church in the shade enjoying our treats after some shopping.
