This place is nice for photo shot. You can easily walk through the old bridge across Chanthaburi river to old town by the river to see pace of the people here.

This cathedral is the landmark of Chanthaburi. It was erected during the Indochina period. It has a magnificient teak wood ceiling. There is a mass everyday at 7 o clock, and the cathedral will open doors around 6.30 PM.

Evidence of historical French influence. Hopefully, Siam regained quickly this part of its territory

What shpuld be a proud icon is a locked tomb to be seen only from the hot steamy outside. Shame on the Church elders.

107 years old cathedral still shining in the community. One that can be comparable to the cathedral in Europe.

Beautiful both outside and inside. A peaceful place to sit for a while. The statue inside of the lovely madonna is encrusted with 200000 sapphires.

The exterior can be photographed however you want, and should be photographed, because it is an outstanding piece of architecture in the middle of Chanthaburi. There was a huge sign of rules for visitors once you get to the entrance, however, which did put me...More
