Wow! There's a rather strong (and pious) Catholic following Chanthaburi. This beautiful church is so beautiful, don't you think so?

Nice to see, parking in front of church for free. Leave the car there and walk/across the bridge next to church to old town and further up to gems market on Saturday.

This place is nice for photo shot. You can easily walk through the old bridge across Chanthaburi river to old town by the river to see pace of the people here.

This cathedral is the landmark of Chanthaburi. It was erected during the Indochina period. It has a magnificient teak wood ceiling. There is a mass everyday at 7 o clock, and the cathedral will open doors around 6.30 PM.

What shpuld be a proud icon is a locked tomb to be seen only from the hot steamy outside. Shame on the Church elders.

107 years old cathedral still shining in the community. One that can be comparable to the cathedral in Europe.

Beautiful both outside and inside. A peaceful place to sit for a while. The statue inside of the lovely madonna is encrusted with 200000 sapphires.

Inside this place is so beautiful and peaceful. So If you come on Sunday in the morning you will see they culture to pay. And this one is near the original market of Chanthaburi, we call that is Chanthaboon.
