About
Like many places in Lanzarote, Puerto del Carmen was originally a small fishing village, and the old harbour is still a delightful place to visit, boasting some excellent bars, restaurants and excursions running out of the harbour.

Visited on holiday. Was a nice view from the top. Not the most accessible place with large hills and narrow pathways. But the people were friendly plenty of places to eat.

It's such a charming but short walk round the harbour area either late at night (It is well lit) or during the day with some stunning views from teh top of the steps.

fab little bars and resturants around the harbor, much better quality of food than main strip. might be a little pricey but worth it. little hidden bars were great. loads of live music.

Our hotel is not far from this and most days we have a walk down. Lovely atmosphere along with friendly people. Water is clear with lots of fish and a brilliant watch early morning when the fisher boats come in to local restaurants.

There’s always a fisherman on the rocks over the wall just pop our head over and ask them mate, they’ll point you in the right direction:)
