Quite a big museum - spent 3 hr - a must for Tintin and Herge fans. Tells the story of the Tintin author with details from his life story. The majority of exhibits are examples from sketches and prints from the Tintin books, explaining the...More

Very well designed museum that takes visitors on a journey inside the 'genius' of Hergé. Puts a lot of the work of Hergé in their historical context and has a lot of material in there. A visit needs around 3 hours in my view. The...More

This museum is about an hour by train outside of Brussels. The museum gives a nice historical presentation of Herge's life while incorporating Tin Tin and his other works into the collection. The museum itself has a nice architectural layout. You'll spend about an hour...More

Great museum to learn the whole story of Hergé and Tintin, but it isn't a museum you can stroll and look. You have to listen to the audio guide (included in price) to really enjoy the museum. The restaurent, The Petit Vingtième serves great food...More

I'll admit it, I've a massive soft spot for anything Tintin related, so I was always going to love this museum. And I did. It's beautifully done. Lots of original artwork, and everywhere, Hergé's warm voice pervading the place in various film and audio interviews....More

My partner is a huge TinTin fan, I have less knowledge but enjoyed the visit just as much as he did. Give it plenty of time, we spent over 5 hours here, and already said we could go back. The audio guide is probably the...More

Felt like I was in a Tintin adventure getting to the Herge Museum - There were no places left on the Tour bus - tours depart only on Tuesdays/Thursdays & Saturdays - so decided to get to Louvain-la-Neuve (the new town near Brussels where the...More

This museum is a tribute to both Herge and Tin Tin. I grew up reading Tin Tin and this is the one place I wanted to see when in Brussels. It's not difficult to get to from Brussels as it's on the direct line to...More

I would recommend getting the kids acquainted with Tintin first. Buy a few of the most child- friendly Tintin stories ( In Tibet, Secret of the Licorne, for example , or just let them choose themselves) and only then take... More

Check w your hotel if they can book you on a City Tours package that includes pick up and drop off at your hotel and the admission for the museum and the audio guide. I think this comes out cheaper and more convenient than... More
