We stopped at saint jean des vignes on our way to reims. It was the journée du patrimoine day and we were very surprised to find telescopes there !! We admired the ruins with these huge telescopes that let us see tiny details. It was an amazing way to discover this beautiful monument

Dramatic ruin. Information centre open office hours has a display that is worth a look (in French only). Attached range is closed when the information centre closes.

We were in a hurry and passing through but having seen this from afar we went to visit, we didn't go inside but had a wander round the are, there was lots of free parking outside the abbey but only for about 40 cars. It is definitely something to see. if you are in the area

Beautiful old ruin with some rooms still intact - such as the cellar and the refrectory. A good information centre with translations available.

It is a peaceful and calm place, the view is impressive. There are the ruins of part of this monastery. Even though, it's a spectacular piece of architecture.

If you are in the area make this a must see. In addition, go see the nearby cathedral. This is an extensive ruin and is truly amazing to experience.

This is one of the most beautiful abbeys in France. While much of it has been removed, the towers are fantastic. Such Gothic detail. Very nice visitors center with information of the history of the Abbey, as well as the history of Soissons.

A twin towered Abbay, very paintable and memorable visually, in the centre of Soissons, France. Easy to find and to walk to and around.

As soon as we were driving by Soissons, i saw the two steeples of this magnificent abbey and knew we had to go. It is free to enter and it is simply stunning. There are bilingual information points throughout the abbey and the photographs i got are amazing. Real gem of an attraction! What a shame half of it was... More
