We stayed for a few days in June, 2019. We played mini golf, did the bumper boats, kayaks, Splash Valley Aqua Park. Met lots of nice people, staff very friendly and knowledgeable. We camped in our tent along the river, listening to the water put you to sleep at night. Quiet and peaceful. Grabbed food at the take away a few times. Ate at The Lakehouse quite a few times, excellent food, big portions. We made use of the showers, laundry, bathrooms and kitchen area (did our own cooking a couple times). The whole park is exceptionally clean. Overall we were very impressed with the park. Highly recommend to our friends.

This site is aimed at families with children and in high season is very busy. Great facilitles that will keep the children occupied. Sadly they dont have much information about off site activities which is not helped by the fact that the local tourist office is also closed on a Saturday. UPDATED REVIEW MONDAY P.M. Having just taken a guide to the town that we had been given by a local shop keeper on Saturday to reception for future campers I was presented with a €2 guide Rathdrum Rambles and told that I should have been given it on arrival. Future visitors should demand that they are given this guide.

This site is very close to all amenities in the local town, yet the setting, while well laid out, provides the interaction with nature associated with camping outdoors.Children can partake in many activities, there is a small cafe on site, offering good coffee, cooked food and ice cream at reasonable prices. The toilets and showers are very well kept. It was a bit steep to pay €5.00 per person in order to visit for the day, initially we didn't mind, but then realised that there is no code required to walk inside the park, indeed anyone can walk in or out. This is the only issue that may need to be improved upon.

We spent 2 nights here as 3 families of 2 adults / 2 kids each, kids ranging from 7 to 14, A lovely valley setting on the banks of a fast flowing river (which supposedly has fish). It was a very busy weekend for camping and the place was packed. The downside was a half hour wait to check-in, not a big issue. The strange bit was although you pay for a camp site, the sites are not marked or numbered so I don't know how they work out how much space you can take up. Didn't bother us. The kids loved the free adventure play ground. Lots of activities for the kids, free of paid. Two big positives - Firstly the toilets were spotlessly clean, despite the place being full, with cleaning staff seeming to be constantly scrubbing the showers and dunnies. Second, as aussies travelling OS this was the one and only place in Ireland we didn't come across any other aussies or any Americans, giving us a very authentic Irish weekend away experience - loved it.

We really enjoyed our 2 night family camping trip here recently. Staff are WONDERFUL & FRIENDLY amenities are CLEAN I would highly recommend Hidden Valley for all age groups, even if your new to camping they have an onsite chipper & café, showers, cooking hobs and wash stations. The weather was so hot we loved dipping into the river to cool down (shallow but rocky so bring swim shoes!). Definitely one of the best campsites in Ireland.
