Lots to like about the location and general facilities. Let themselves down by masses of uncollected rubbish in the bins area. Worst of all, the Wi-fi is apparently only available at reception, and that limitation is worse with COVID restrictions. Some of the prohibition signs make it seem as if the Stasi are in charge, but in reality, the the atmosphere was relaxed out of season.

Had a lovely time at hidden valley aqua park. It’s great fun and the staff are really friendly and very very helpful (my youngest child gets cold really quickly so she gets very scared in the water in Ireland) a lifeguard offered to bring her out onto the water on a board so she was delighted and went on to have a really good time. So thank you I’m very grateful and it made our day. Only negative is the fact that there is no changing facilities (I understand that it’s due to COVID) but it meant that everyone gets stripped, dressed and dried together which I found very uncomfortable as a mother of 3 girls (2 teenage and one small child). I’m not a prude just think in the interest of child protection it’s really not acceptable. Out from that it’s a great place to visit and we will return.

Went for 2 nights in July: Sunday and Monday night. Facilities great and place clean. However, area for tents across river is a free for all/mish-mash. No dedicated pitching areas – just find a place and try to set up. Other tents can be very close. Your neighbour is nearly pitching in your tent! And cars can’t be brought up to beside tent. Park in car park and numerous trips up and down. A staff member – Ben, very kindly helped us bring kit down. (Would normally go to Silver Strand in Wicklow where it’s very much organised in terms of pitching, spaces, etc. and you can bring your car right up to the pitch area which are well spaced. They also seem to operate to a certain capacity.) Went posh last year and got an electricity cable. Booked in for electricity – but tents that had no electricity were pitched in areas for electricity – so had to pitch in middle of field area that was like a thoroughfare. Lucky the electricity cable was +15m. I just got the feeling that it was ‘commercial camping’ and get as many tents into ‘x’ area as you can get in. I heard the facility was operating on 60% capacity. I can’t imagine what 100% capacity would be like?. Also noticed that there wasn’t that many staff checking areas – e.g, tents that were not using electricity facility shouldn’t have been pitched there. Pros: Great Facilities, Clean, Loads of activities, Kids really enjoyed it. Cons: Camping – free for all in terms of pitching, no car beside pitch, quite busy (not great for social distancing at all…☹, could do with a shop on premises that includes camping items/spares)

Kids did Splashworld. They had an amazing time here. No hand sanitizer at check in reception, no distancing with group they were in, they all had to hug each other but my husband and children enjoyed themselves and were super tired after the hour. They used their own wetsuits but were supplied with hats and life jackets. You were also provided with wetsuits if you didn’t have any. Staff super friendly

This is a fantastic camp site. Very much geared for family with kids. Lots of activity and water sports. It’s possible to get peace and quiet on the back pitches. Very clean toilet blocks. Very busy in high season but very relaxing off season. Campsite kept well and separate hard pitches for caravan or campervan. Very friendly staff even after a busy season. ACSI discounts off season. Looks like Santa is coming for a special Christmas special. Easy access to town if supplies needed. The cabins look great and each has a outside bbq fire.
