Created in 2003 by the sculptor Vito Tongiani, the so-called Triumph of Aphrodite is a very complex fountain in which architectural and sculptural elements mix with a series of symbolic elements to tell of the birth of Venus-Aphrodite and her relationship with Mars, god of war and mythical lover of the beautiful goddess. Leaning on a marble backdrop on which the symbolic insignia of Mars stands out, the marble basin appears raised above the square due to the presence of three festoon steps. From the center of the rectangular basin comes a bronze shell from which, amidst water features, a bronze Venus appears absorbed. it is an expression of eroticism and joie de vivre!
