Sat at the bar. Ordered their amazing Iberico ham and drank their delicious Albarihno house white wine. Watched them entertain us with the cider pouring. Perfect bar.

Friendly staff, great tapas and sidra

We came here even twice during our holiday in the north of Spain, as we were really pleased by the service, food and drinks.
The waiters are quite friendly and always joke a bit, so you get the feeling they really like what they are doing.
The preparation of the tapas is great, prices are fair and the sidra is really good!

The appereance of the restaurant is simple, as usual for this region of Spain.

We can definitely recommend it! Go there and enjoy!

Called here on a rather wet and miserable night in late April. Instantly brightened our night up with some excellent food and reasonably priced drinks. Typical Spanish atmosphere, just the job on such a nasty night. We called on several nights and experienced the same welcome.

So good we had a second visit!

La Nansa is on the main road facing the bay and is made up of a small bar area with booths and benches inside and two rows of tables outside separated by the main pavement thoroughfare. It gets a LOT of passing foot traffic!

Its an unassuming place but we liked the buzz around it and decided to stop in. That have the typical Ribadesella menu but we decided to have three raciones and a bottle of wine. All three dishes were a good size, perfectly cooked and delicious but a special mention has to go to the Chiperones Fritos (Deep Fried baby squid in tempura batter). They were quite frankly amazing - tender, well flavoured and served with nothing but a slice of lemon they were astonishing.

We liked it so much that we went back again later in the week for more.

Its a busy place on a busy street and there is a massive amount going on but the mix of atmosphere, lovely wines and energetic staff made it a great place to eat, rink and soak up the Asturian lifestyle.
