Maitreya Buddha Temple, Xuedou Temple, this temple is part of a larger xuedou scenic mountain area. Also one of the five major buddhist mountains in China.

Great place for a day trip. You can escape from the busy city life of Ningbo and relax in the nature. It has many waterfalls, a nice hiking path, and a big golden Buddha statue. It is easy accessible by über, taxi or bus.

Great place but spoiled a little by lack of info in English, confusing ticket choices and bad maps to find your way around, despite this well worth a visit, better on a quit day

I was shocked to see the size of Buddha statues when went into the temple. Based on what I was told this temple was built 1600 years ago. A must visit sight.

I truly enjoyed my time here last May. The scenery is breathtaking. The pathways are very well constructed. This history is tangible.

A mixed blessing. Not really set up for non-Chinese speaking foreigners so best to go with a Chinese friend or two. Most marvelous and little visited is at the farthest end of the park, but the bus will take you there and wait even an...More
