Beautiful cascades

Great waterfalls, definitely worth checking out. Walk or take a bumpy tuk-tuk ride, but do not take your car. Road is not in a great condition.

Visited here at the end of the 5 hour, Seven Waterfalls hike. After hours trekking through pretty, pristine coffee farms and gorges, Chorros is a disappointment ... for unlike the hike route, it is blighted with litter. The water pouring from the springs is quite cold, so the clouds on the day I went made for a short, brisk swim.

Pleasant walk down (and later up) to the waterfall, which is a lovely spot to stop and swim (water is quite cold!). Free entry which is nice and lots of friendly people welcoming you in. We had a guide taking us around the Ruta de las Flores but if you were just coming here I wouldn't say it's crucial.

This was so much fun! I read other reviews and brought a guide. We rented an airb&b who provided us with a guide. It felt vary safe. But don't take any chances and think you can go alone. The waterfalls were very beautiful but part of the path was closed due to reconstruction.

I've been to chorros for like 4 times now and I gotta say that the whole hike up and down to there it's really amazing, entrance is totally free, and the water coming out from the mountain is hella cold so be prepared. Also it's recommended to go on your hike with a local guide for security concerns, but other... More

We came here with my father-in-law that resides in El Salvador so he is basically a local. We didn't feel any danger but the drive from town was a bit sketchy as the sign disappeared once you turned into the dirt road. Once we got to the gate, we were relived to see other cars and people. Some guy offered... More

Not far from the town, this set of waterfalls is lovely. The water is fresh but not cold and there is a current. You can climb the rocks and swim through the tunnels (although be careful as some of them lead to waterfalls, our guide took us through them). We spent a lovely few hours walking there and swimming around.... More

We went here in the morning. Having read a few reviews with concerns about safety we were a bit on edge. However, we encountered no problems and went for a lovely swim in some of the waterfalls by the old hydroelectric plant. Unfortunately one of the main waterfalls was closed due to repair work on the path. Towards mid to... More

We were warned not to visit because it might be dangerous to go, but we took a tuk tuk, there was security at the place and did not experience anything negative. The hike to the waterfalls is pretty easy and the waterfalls just breathtaking! Make sure to take some shorts or a bathing suit!

We visit this waterfalls with my girlfriend, we took a guide because of the safety warnings that we heard of a people being robbed around the waterfalls. It was very nice, we walk from the hotel to there, on the way there is an awesome nature with a lot of flora and fauna, tropical fruits trees and beautiful butterflies and flowers... More
