If you are stuck for something to do for half a day, hiring a pedalo and spending some quiet time on the lake is an enjoyable way to spend it. Other than that it is just a small lake with a few restaurants and souvenir...More

Didn't see any separate WCs - all in tavernas, but on the basis you'll either be hiring their pedalos or frequenting the tavernas anyway, you should be fine.

Best bet is to get a bus from Chania to Georgopolis and then a cab from there, much cheaper. Not sure if the turtles are actually not tortoises, but well worth a visit anyway!
