A quite and tranquil place, close to the city but far enough to find peace in the serine ambient. Take a walk and listen to the breaking waves while walking on the squeeky sand. Enjoy the sunset, meditate and find peace within. The beach is natural and by no means manicured, but that is the beauty of the area. So... More

Great place for kids to explore. Multiple playgrounds, large areas of grass to run in and an untouched beach. The beach is not a manicured urbanized beach. It is exactly what is called , a coastal beach. It's a great place for a more quiet beach hangout. It is part of the point Cooke marine sanctuary which is home to... More

The beach is not very pleasant, very weedy and dirty, not what we expected. Looked very neglected. The Bird look out is a good idea but covered heavily and extensively in Bird poo and not very clean. Could be very nice if it was looked after better, pity. However some lovely views of the city from across the water.

Very eautiful natural environment so close to the city & suburbs. Particularly nice to watch the sunsets, as good as anywhere.

A remote car park, a lonely playground, and a very shallow beach make this a safe place to introduce young children to salt and waves. Older children might want to bring a book.

I was surprised to visit this somewhat hidden gem. There is a long wide expanse of beach and it was quiet and peaceful. A good place for family outings and a wonderful place to walk.

It is a bit of a long drive from the entrance but at the end it is a nice short walk to the beach past a barbecue area and play areas. There were not many people there when I visited but the temperatures were touching 40C so probably too hot for most people. Can be visited on the same day... More

It's rarely busy. Yet the facilities and scenery are fab. That's always been a mystery to me. But I'm not complaining. Enjoy a picnic, barbie or just an afternoon stroll. And peace.

Went here with my partner one to see what is was all about. We enjoyed the openness of the area. It is a great place to just take a walk and relax. Take some water with you as you could spend longer than you'd thought.
