A must visit, but the drive to the place would be tiring as the road widening work is in progress. Please carry required id proof. Get ready for a short climb to the monstery, also there are region-specific handicrafts shops on the way.

Beautiful monastery, you may seek help from the resident lamas to enlighten you about the place and how a usual day seems here for them. Nice place and a different culture to know for tourists.

The monastery is one of the highest Buddhist monasteries in the world. A great place to visit for peace of mind and prayer. The place has an aestheticism of its own and is a must visit site in Gangtok.
