Has changed a great deal

About four years ago we came there and back then it was a quiet place. Back then there was one crappy hotel on the mountain with a walk down to the beach. Since then this hotel is... read more

The beach was really clean, with good view but a bit far from market. It's really quite in the night, but hard to find place to eat. So, before coming here, it's better to arrange where to eat, what to eat and transportation

Spent an afternoon here with friends and family that were locals as well as from Canada and the USA. The beach is impressive and the water refreshing and overall we had a great time. No doubt that this will become a destination of choice for international travellers, someday. There will have to be some changes to make this a truly... More

This has got to be one of the cleanest beaches I have been to in my five years living on Mainland China. I went to Yangjiang and Zhapo for business and spent an extra day and a half on my own roaming Hailing Island. No trash on the beach when I was there, and more importantly the water was crystal... I live here. Two years ago it was the most pristine beach almost in all of china. Then they allowed the local people to start selling food and junk and 4 wheel motor cycle rides. Not the beach is just one big trash dump because they do not pick up trash and just throw in the ocean or on the... More

strong wind &wave, soft sands. good for sightseeing and playing with the wave, but not for swimming. you will go through an uphill and downhill before reaching teh beach, impressive view at the peak.

Probably the best beach that I have seen within Guangdong. Thanks to the new hotel / residential development nearby, there are now lifeguards and janitors in doing the necessary upkeep. Water quality is unparalleled and evidenced by the swarms of tiny crabs are still easily encountered on the beach. The stretch of beach fronts for over tens of km is... More

About four years ago we came there and back then it was a quiet place. Back then there was one crappy hotel on the mountain with a walk down to the beach. Since then this hotel is closed and it looks like it will be probably torn down. We visited the beach again during the Easter Weekend this year and... More

Not ten miles, but 9.5km in length for the beach. A clean place for a rest. Not many commercial facilities, yet. Beach volley ball, fishing boats and a restaurant on the beach. Next to Guangdong Maritime Silk Road Museum which is worth a visit when in Hailing Island.
