Each year Guadalajara hosts a ceramic competition. The winning entries are housed in this museum. Prepare to be enthralled by a collection of artistry and craftsmanship. Admission is free. Put this collection at the top of your list in Guadalajara.

Various winners of the National Ceramic contest have pieces here on display. The use of clay for everyday function and the styles and decor reflect the history & style of each region. I was able to tell right away pieces from my Chihuahua, up north....More

This small museum, located on Independencia, had lovely examples of different styles of ceramics. Although it was small, it was well worth spending some time there, and a hot afternoon, it offered a cool (not air-conditioned) respite.

Well worth the time for a quick visit to this small place. There are several small rooms with different ceramic artwork in each.

Entrance fee is free. Display was simple but clean. Made the ceramic stand out. Many nice pieces, some exquisite even. Not a lot of explanation unfortunately. I recommend spend about 45 minutes to an hour here.

Just walk slowly around the exhibits. It is not a large museum and great coffee is just outside or in the courtyard. Soak it all in. You will be able to buy similar things in the shops of Tlaquepaque and the museum courtyard sometimes hosts...More

This is a very nice museum with many, many pieces of ceramic art on display. The whole place can be viewed in about an hour but we spent around two hours there.
