It was a really nice surprise. I started appreciate more the textile and fabrics, especially hand made. The museum has a good selection of carpets, kilims and other products. I would really recommend to visit it. It's quite small, but nicely done.

For a dollar you can’t really beat the price and to get a glimpse into the past and culture of the local people who are so friendly.

In the heart of the big citadel this musueum is like an oasis of quietness, freshness and memories of this beautiful art of broidery. Carpets, kilim, other pieces of colourful and beautiful handicraft are nicely displayed. It's worth having a tea as well.

It's a small but nice museum with a lovely cafe. It offers a mixture of textiles and history. There is not plenty to see on the top of the citadel but this place is quite worth a visit.

The Citadel Town of Erbil, or Qala't Erbil, is an impressive elevated settlement that has been inhabited continuously for millennia. Although it's exact origins cannot be traced with certainty, there are strong archaeological indications and finds, however, to indicate that it goes back to some...More

This is a surprising place that displays not just carpets but also local traditional dress. Many artefacts. It's done quite lovingly. I really enjoyed being able to take a close look to often very old carpets. They are beautifully done and one gets a sense...More
