It was our day off walking so we sat and relaxed in the sun. Watched dogs chasing the waves, surfers surfing and seabirds diving. Good little coves further on, secluded in lowish season.

My husband, toddler, baby and I checked out this blue flag beach which has lovely golden sand but it's very soft so difficult to walk on and nigh impossible to push a buggy with baby on (hence the 4 out of 5). It has a lifeguard present even when there is a red flag warning for people not to swim & lifebuoy at various points along the beach. Despite it being difficult to walk on, there were plenty of dog walkers. I spotted a guy using a metal detector here. It is very clean but the occasional cigarette butt & plastic particle was noted sadly though. It has a lovely playground with sandy floor which was a big hit with the toddler. It has picnic benches which can be used. It has a decent sized carpark. Best for families and sunbathing once the sun obliges.

The lovely golden sands of Culdaff beach is typical of the many stunning beaches on the majestic coastline of Co. Donegal. This beach is located just a few minutes drive from the quiet village of Culdaff on the Inishowen peninsula. It's pristinely clean, surrounded by unspoilt countryside & on the shores of the wild Atlantic, what more could we ask for!

Stunning and peaceful, you could stay on this beach for hours. This beach would be the perfect beach for a barbecue!

A piece of heaven. A long, sandy beach popular with locals and tourists alike. Too cold to swim in early June, but perfect to laze upon and appreciate Mother Nature.

We stayed in Culdaff and had 13y old willing to do some surfing which is possible in this region. The hotel McGrory had contact for us with the surfing school, which is just a bus with a lot of boards and suits, and good instructors.

Overlooking the most sheltered fishing harbour of Bunagee pier lies Culdaff sandy beach. It divides into 3 sections by jagged rocks and has parking facility and a play area for children. The area is well worth a visit and is ideal for nature walks. The scenery is majestic and panoramic .It makes an ideal location for photography.Swimmers should exercise extreme care as there are currents.Life guards are on duty during the summer months.Culdaff is a charming unspoilt village .Makes an ideal holiday location to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and chill out to explore Inishowen .One of Irelands hidden Treasures. The hospitality of Inishowen people is second to none.Try it and enjoy.

Another of the gorgeous beaches of Donegal. Clean, soft sand with interesting slate rock formations on the beach and water's edge. Good bet for families with wee ones as well as surfers

Visited his beach last week. It was clean safe and our dog loved the space and the seagulls to chase. Donegal is a beautiful place to visit.
