My husband, toddler, baby and I checked out this blue flag beach which has lovely golden sand but it's very soft so difficult to walk on and nigh impossible to push a buggy with baby on (hence the 4 out of 5). It has a lifeguard present even when there is a red flag warning for people not to swim & lifebuoy at various points along the beach. Despite it being difficult to walk on, there were plenty of dog walkers. I spotted a guy using a metal detector here. It is very clean but the occasional cigarette butt & plastic particle was noted sadly though. It has a lovely playground with sandy floor which was a big hit with the toddler. It has picnic benches which can be used. It has a decent sized carpark. Best for families and sunbathing once the sun obliges.

Culdaff beach is a great stop and is one of the safer beaches along the coast. It has a sandy beach to the left and along to the right are sandy areas sheltered by the rocks. It was light surf while we were there and the kids enjoyed some bodyboarding between the flags on the life guarded part.

Very clean and one of my favourite beaches for the kids in Donegal. No hire facilities here for beach equipment but there’s usually an ice cream or coffee van there in summer.

The lovely golden sands of Culdaff beach is typical of the many stunning beaches on the majestic coastline of Co. Donegal. This beach is located just a few minutes drive from the quiet village of Culdaff on the Inishowen peninsula. It's pristinely clean, surrounded by unspoilt countryside & on the shores of the wild Atlantic, what more could we ask for!

Overlooking the most sheltered fishing harbour of Bunagee pier lies Culdaff sandy beach. It divides into 3 sections by jagged rocks and has parking facility and a play area for children. The area is well worth a visit and is ideal for nature walks. The scenery is majestic and panoramic .It makes an ideal location for photography.Swimmers should exercise extreme care as there are currents.Life guards are on duty during the summer months.Culdaff is a charming unspoilt village .Makes an ideal holiday location to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and chill out to explore Inishowen .One of Irelands hidden Treasures. The hospitality of Inishowen people is second to none.Try it and enjoy.

My husband and I and our three dogs have spent many holidays in this part of Donegal. Culdaff Beach is a must visit venue every time we are there. The beach is long and wide when the tide is out with beautiful soft golden sand. Surrounded by sand dunes it provides access to a fresh water lagoon as you round the beach heading away from the car park area. Culdaff itself is a small village with a few shops and amenities but it is also is the location of the wonderful McGrorys which is an excellent location for a drink, something to eat and entertainment in the Front and Back Room. I strongly recommend that you enjoy what Culdaff has to offer and a visit to the lovely beach is an absolute must.

It was our day off walking so we sat and relaxed in the sun. Watched dogs chasing the waves, surfers surfing and seabirds diving. Good little coves further on, secluded in lowish season.
