I used to live in Tugun and loved the regular walk/swim on the beach. The lifesavers are there during the summer even when there is no one in the water. The only reason it is quiet is because Tugun is a small suburb, but all the more reason to come! Have it all to yourself :)

If you don't want to fight the crowds this area of the coast line is great. Life guides patrolling the area and not to many people. Great spot

We stayed in Tugun for a couple of nights and visited Tugun beach a few times. This is a local beach, quite suitable for surfing. We saw some locals surfing and swimming early in the morning. It is quite relaxing to walk along this beach as there were not many people. The weather was cool and breezy and we felt... More

This is the best beach on the Gold Coast. Just remember to always swim between the red and yellow flags!

We spent 5 days here between Xmas and New Years and had a marvelous time. The beaches here are exceptionally beautiful, as they are along this entire bay. Tugun Beach was much less populated and it was very easy to find a parking space next to the beach. Just look out for jellyfish and read the warning signs.

Love Tugun Beach. Quiet, lots of sand, good surf and less people. Flagged area for younger children and the elderly. Clean fresh water and great waves
