Stumbled upon this small museum on the way to Christchurch. Expected a few cars but was surprised to see so many of them in about seven buildings. Some had a collection of old machinery. It is worth the $15 admission fee if you like classic cars.

When my dad and me visted we were the only visitors. Which puzzled us due to the sheer size of the exhibits. The emphasis is on tractors and agricultural machinary. However the hall of pre-1930s vehicles and the inclusion of a BSA Goldstar and Matchless add a touch of colour. The collection of British cars from the 1950s to 1970s... More

Great way to spend a rainy day, with a huge number of vintage and veteran cars, tractors and farm machinery. Someone with a lot of talent made life size model people as accessories for the exhibits. I've never seen so many tractors in one place!

a great amount of space and a quiet non commercial feel to the place. Seems to be run by genuine enthusiasts. Cars of interest to me as well as tools and artefacts from the 50's onwards. Nice place worth spending an hour or so.

With seven sheds of cars, vintage farm machinery and odds and sods to visit this is excellent for the enthusiast. The voluntary workers also are very nice to talk to for the poor partner!!!!

What a great place to view vehicles and farm equipment from days gone by. So many sheds to look through so allow plenty of time so you dont miss anything, great information from the door men, who enjoy sharing information on the displays

We came upon this museum after an unplanned stay in Geraldine ( poor weather forecast for the mountains ). At first appearance, it is not clear just how extensive this museum is. One exhibition room can be seen from the road but behind, there are 3-4 buildings which house the collection. There are cars, tracked vehicles and agricultural tools but... More
