This castle is around 45 minutes drive from Stuttgart. It is privately owned and therefore one can't take pictures inside. Parking is an unnecessary $2. Visitors have the option of visiting the small grounds (which provide excellent views of the surrounding area) or going on...More

We saw this castle in a day paired with Hohenzollern (about 40 minutes away). Such an interesting location and architectural work. Very small, especially compared to Hohenzollern, but the grounds and clifftop location are stunning. Tours are in GERMAN ONLY but they have English-translated brochures....More

I was there in Winter and while on the day the castle itself was closed it was still worth while having a look as the scenery overlooking a steep cliff and valley is quite impressive.

We had to travel down a lot of two-lane roads to get to the Castle from Austria; but the drive was worth it. It's a fairy tale setting high up on the hill. The castle overlooks a beautiful valley below. There is a good-sized parking...More

I managed to google this Castle somehow & it was immediately put on my bucket list to visit when in Germany! The Castle is easily accessed and quite small compared to other's we'd been to. There is plenty of parking available. There are no steep...More

This castle seems to be straight out of a fairy tale. Just imagine Rapunzel letting her hair down from this castle. We visited this castle and Hohenzollern on a day when were traveling from Tuebingen to Fussen. This castle is 45 minutes from Tuebingen and...More
