Key to any visit is the weather, so wait for a day with minimal cloud cover. The drive up is an interesting challenge in winter. Remember to take the car ticket to the top, as the €14 drive is free if you punch your ticket...More

We did the lot except skiing: - cable car - skywalk - suspension bridge - lunch It was a fantastic experience and apart from the lunch, all was inclusive with our Ski Amade lift pass. An engineering and natural marvel. A must do - lunch...More

Wrap up warm if you are going up on the cable car. We were there on a 'warm' day, it was only -6c. Up at the top there was a 70km wind blowing which, with the wind chill, brought it down to about -15c. The...More

I visited the Skywalk with my 12 years old daughter. We were both impressed with the view. We were lucky because it was a clear sunny day so we could see very far. It’s really worth visiting when you are in Austria.

We were greeted by unexpected snowfall so no visibility from the skywalk but on a clear day the view would be spectacular.

As it was so high up, obviously it's a little scary to do this skywalk, but an amazing experience to say the least. the view was breathtaking!

Definitely an intense experience, especially if you have fear of height. Otherwise you have the same view from the bridge as from anywhere else, except that since it is a cable bridge, you may feel that you walk in the air - well, I didn't......More

From Salzburg, I would take A10 towards Villach to exit 63 in Eben, then head east on B 320 towards Graz. In Schladming you will go north towards Ramsau, where you drive through the village and follow signs to Dachsteinbahn... More
