well worth a visit to discover winchelsea`s ancient history , quite a few decent books on sale maps of area , the ceiling itself is worth a visit alone

The museum does need a bit refreshing but was more than made up for by the incredibly friendly and welcoming lady there on Tuesday.

Lovely little museum well worth a visit. Some interesting artefacts relating to the town and the sea. We visited on a weekday so were unable to visit the tunnels as tours only take place on Saturdays. Also had a lovely walk around the pretty little...More

I've done this and the walking tour,and for me, the walking tour was far superior. There some nice curios in the museum but I can't say I'll be recommending the place.

Visited the pretty village of Winchelsea on Friday in June. Wandered the streets, very nice, followed Wesley connections, snack in New Inn, enjoyed church. Left Museum till last approx 3pm. Was closed.

Fabulous building so it is worth spending 5 of the 10 minutes it takes to see the exhibits looking at the beams.
